Auto Lodge Motel Policy

When the reservation process has been completed, rooms are held for your exclusive occupation in our computerised reservation system. The nature of our business requires us to apply a strict policy for cancellations and is as stated below;

 

Non-refundable Cancellation Policy

* Any booking cancellations will result in a cancellation fee of the full accommodation fee.

* Any booking modifications may result with additional fees and charges.

 

72 Hour Cancellation Policy

* Any Cancellations made before 72 hours prior to the check in date will result to no cancellation fees.

* Any Cancellations made within the 72 hours of the check in date will result to a cancellation of the full accommodation fee.

* Any Booking modifications may result with additional fees and charges.

Please note, Special Cancellation terms and conditions may apply to Group Bookings or long term bookings.

We reserve the right to accept reservations that are subject to a minimum stay period over peak periods. A request to reduce the length of stay on an existing application may result in the reservation being cancelled.

Booking AccommodationThe booking of accommodation is a contract between our two parties.

Auto Lodge Motel agrees to provide the accommodation and services described and agreed. The guest undertakes to pay for the accommodation booked and services used unless it has been cancelled by them in accordance with Auto Lodge Motel’s cancellation policies (see below).

Due to the size of the motel, late cancellations or no shows significantly affect our business, so if your plans do change for some reasons, Auto Lodge Motel asks that you let us know as soon as possible. Failure to advise may incur a charge.
Accommodation and ServicesAuto Lodge Motel reserves the right to refuse to provide admittance, service or accommodation in the any person, including but not limited to a person who, while on the premises of the motel: (a) acts in an intoxicated/impaired or disorderly manner, (b) destroys or threatens to destroy property, (c) causes or threatens to cause a disturbance, (d) refuses or is unable to pay for accommodations or services, or (e) is determined by Auto Lodge Motels management to pose a threat to the safety or security of motel employees, registered guests, or the general public.

Auto Lodge Motel provides accommodations as a temporary service, is not a residence, may change services, may change prices, may limit the amount of persons who may occupy a particular guest room or space in the hotel, and will only allow registered guests to use its motel facilities. Auto Lodge Motel may pursue payment, fees and damages from a person who negligently or intentionally does not settle their bill, causes damage to the motel, staff, property, or incurs a loss of revenue resulting from the motel’s inability to rent or to lease rooms or space while damage is being repaired.

Auto Lodge Motel may also pursue payment for fees and charges from the company, agency and guest(s) who reserved, rented, leased or stayed at the motel as responsible parties for the damages.
Room ratesAll prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars on a per night basis and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%.

Room rates vary throughout the year from the low season prices to the peak season prices and/or for major event weekends. Auto Lodge Motels secure internet reservation system displays our room rates and availability on any particular day.

The prices advertised on Auto Lodge Motels secure internet reservation system are per room, for the number of people and the date(s) selected, unless otherwise specified (packages).
Deposit PolicyAuto Lodge Motel requires a valid credit card with sufficient funds and/or deposit of the total accommodation fee to confirm any bookings. Confirmed bookings will be sent a confirmation email notifying guests the booking status.

Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge the full accommodation fee at any time after the booking has been made.

In the case the provided credit card details are invalid or has insufficient funds, the motel may cancel the booking without prior notification. The motel shall attempt to contact the guests provided the contact details provided at the time of booking, but failure of contact may result to a cancellation of the booking. The motel will not be liable for the finding alternative accommodation for the guests from the result of any cancellations as a result of invalid credit cards or insufficient funds.
Check In requirementsAll guests are responsible to provide full payment and all appropriate documents at the time of check in, unless prior arranged.

In the case full accommodation fee cannot be paid upon arrival, the guest may be refused accommodation and the booking will be cancelled. Deposits will not be refunded and will be charged for not providing appropriate documents at the time of check in.

Please ensure a valid and legal Photo Identification is provided (i.e. Passports, NZ Drivers Licence). Please note temporary licenses will not be accepted. Guests may also be required to pre-authorise credit cards of up to of $1000 NZD upon arrival for the security of the property. Direct Debit card holders will be required to provide a bond payment (of up to $1000 NZD) upon arrival, which will be held by the motel until the departure of the guests.

The motel reserves the right to refuse accommodation to guests who cannot provide a pre-authorisation or a bond payment of up to $1000 NZD on arrival and a valid & legal Identification. Bookings may be cancelled by the motel if the guests are unable to provide the pre-authorisation or bond payment. Pre-paid deposits/accommodation fee for the booking will be charged as the cancellation fee in the result of not providing the appropriate documents at the time of check in.

Please note your registered banks may hold the pre-authorisation or bond refund for up to 5 working days for all NZ Domestic account holders. International Bank account holders are expected up to 10 working days for banks payments to clear. The motel is not liable for the funds unable to be released by guests registered banks.

Child policy

Children 2 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

In circumstances where additional beds or bedding are required or used, the extra person rate will apply.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guest of 18 years or over.

It is the parent's, guardian's or team management's responsibility to supervise the child or children at all times while staying at Auto Lodge Motel. Auto Lodge Motel asks that you consider and respect other guests and its neighbours by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
Portacots and High Chairs

Portacots and High Chairs are available (Prior Arrangement required and charges may apply).

Reservations

To make a reservation you must be 25 years of age or over.
In making a reservation Auto Lodge Motel requires the guests name, residential address, contact telephone (landline and mobile) numbers, and email address.

To confirm the reservation Auto Lodge Motel requires a valid credit card details with sufficient funds. Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge the credit card at the time the booking is made or pre-authorise the credit card.

Reservations made where the customer does not have a credit card, will be required to pay the full value of the stay. These unconfirmed reservations will be held for an agreed period pending receipt of the payment and will be confirmed once the payment has been received. Should payment not be received by the agreed time, the reservation will be cancelled without notice.
Reservations made and paid for in cash without the security of a valid credit card, may be required to pay a bond. This will be refunded in accordance with the bond policy once room has been inspected at the time of check out.
Check-in

Auto Lodge Motel welcomes your arrival from 2.00pm or earlier by prior arrangement.
Upon arrival, each guest will be required to sign an Auto Lodge Motel Guest Registration form confirming the details are correct and accepting the terms and conditions there in of his/her stay.

Reception Doors will shut after 9pm and reopen after 8am, but staff will attend doors 24 hours when the bell at the reception front door is pressed in the case of an emergency.

If you are unable to check-in before 09:00pm of your check in date, please notify Auto Lodge Motel in advance as soon as possible to arrange a late check-in or key collection.
Check-out

Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure or later by prior arrangement.
Early check in/late check-outSubject to availability on the day, Auto Lodge Motel will endeavour to accommodate both early check-in and late check-out requests wherever possible. Should you require an early check-in or late check-out please contact Reception to arrange. There may be a charge applied.
PaymentAuto Lodge Motel accepts Eftpos and all major credit cards: American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
On checking in we will ask for credit card details. Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge or pre-authorise a credit card at check-in.

If you intend to pay by cash, you will be asked for a bond to be paid on arrival, (refundable on departure).
All accommodation and any other charges not already paid for must be paid in full on the day of departure (if not already done so), unless prior arrangements have been made with Auto Lodge Motel. Overdue/recovery charges will apply if your account is not paid on time.
CookingOur kitchenettes in all guest rooms are prohibited cooking due to the odour left behind for the next guests.
Our kitchenettes are designed for preparing tea, coffee and reheating pre-cooked meals.
Overdue accountsAll accounts are payable on departure, unless prior arrangements have been made with Auto Lodge Motel. Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid by due date.
Amendments to bookingsAll amendments to bookings must be made by the person who made the original reservation and be in writing. Changes may be emailed to info@autolodgemotel.co.nz
Auto Lodge Motel will acknowledge receipt of the email and the changes requested.
CancellationsAll cancellations must be made by the person who made the original reservation and be in writing. Cancellations may be emailed to info@autolodgemotel.co.nz

Cancellation of individual bookings must be notified no later than 72 hours (3 days) prior to 0000 hours on the expected date of arrival.

All cancellations less than 72 hours (3 days) prior to 0000 hours on the expected date of arrival will be charged for the accommodation booked.

Cancellation of Group bookings must be notified no later than 7 days prior to the expected date of arrival. All cancellations less than 7 days prior to the expected date of arrival will be charged for the accommodation booked unless we are able to replace the booking.
No show – fail to arriveAs Auto Lodge Motel has a contract with you and holds your booking in good faith pending your arrival, if you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be charged the full cost of the accommodation booked.
Early departureDeparture earlier than the reserved date may not result in a refund, unless 72 hours (3 days) notice is provided prior to the day of cancellation.
In the event of a late cancellation every effort will be made to resell the room and you will only be responsible for the cost if this is unsuccessful.
Internet usage and copyrightAuto Lodge Motel provides free of charge WiFi to enable its customers to access email accounts and to search for information via the internet.

Under New Zealand Copyright Law the rights holders (owners) of movies, TV shows, and music can now send fines of up to $15,000 to Auto Lodge Motel if their copyrights are infringed. To access Auto Lodge Motels internet system a unique access code is provided to each room. If you infringe any rights holders copyright, and Auto Lodge Motel is fined, those fines will be passed onto you.
DamagesDamage to motel property should be reported immediately. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Lost PropertyLost Property will be kept by Auto Lodge Motel for 4 weeks from the date any items are found by Auto Lodge Motel Staff for property owners to claim. Any postage and parcel fees are to be fully paid by owner(s) before any items are sent. Property owners have the right to claim and pick up items with a legal photo Identification and or ownership statement of lost and found properties.

Auto Lodge Motel has no responsibility to properties lost and found, including damage, postage and recovery of property.
Room conditionIf your room is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of motel property (including linen), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Auto Lodge Motel staff, Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition.
SmokingAuto Lodge Motel is a smoke free complex. Smoking is not permitted/allowed in any of Auto Lodge Motels rooms. Smoking facilities are provided outside. Please smoke away from open windows, doors and other guests.

If you do smoke inside our rooms, Auto Lodge Motel reserves the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest. "Resulting loss of income" could be the following guests refusing to stay in that booked room.
VisitorsGuests' visitors are welcome. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. Auto Lodge Motel asks that you consider and respect other guests and by keeping noise levels to a minimum.

All visitors not booked into the motel are expected to leave the premises quietly before 10.00pm.
Auto Lodge Motel does not allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in its guest rooms. Excessive noise, disturbing other guests, may result in you being requested to vacate Auto Lodge Motel, without refund.

All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to Auto Lodge Motel property, that require specialist cleaning or repair will be charged to the registered guest.
ParkingParking is complimentary at the Auto Lodge Motel for registered motel guests. Parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. As Auto lodge Motel is a Multi-floor complex, parking is not allocated by room numbers or room locations.
Multiple guest cars, trucks and/or trailers up to 10 metres require prior arrangement.
PetsWe do not allow any pets/animals on the property.
Concerns or complaintsShould you experience any difficulties with your accommodation, please contact either Reception during your stay to register your concern. Every effort will be made to rectify the situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
